My inverter, a Prosine 3.o from Xantrex, died so I called their support. After explaining the situation they had me try a complete reset of the system, etc. but to no avail. The unit was putting out 24VAC instead of the 120vac it was supposed to be putting out. After a little more conversation they asked me to send them proof of the purchase date on the coach. 8/3/07 purchase date, 10/9/09 when it died - it has a 2 year warranty, so I'm 2 months out of warranty and they said they'd replace it under warranty anyway if it was a failure of the unit biggrin.gif You just don't find companies standing behind things once they're legally off the hook these days so this was a really refreshing experience.

I wanted the unit right away, so they said they needed a credit card, they'd charge the card $1600 as a deposit and then refund it if the unit had failed, add on the difference if it was not a failure the warranty would cover. As it turned out it was over a week before they could ship the replacement and the unit got back and was determined to be a failure the warranty would have covered, so I have my replacement, and they have at least one VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER who will be using XANTREX for life.If you're in need of an inverter/charger check them out. When you're spending a couple thousand dollars for a product it's really important to know that the people who make it will stand behind it.

Must be inverter week, my Magnum inverter quit 2 days ago also.
I called Magnum tech support and he walked me through some tests, waited patiently while i got the necessary tools to remove covers and test with a volt meter.
turned out a junction block was fried/melted and I was able to fix it with a couple wire nuts, they called back today to make sure it was still working correctly.

We seem find time to complain but rarely commend great service, hats off to Magnum and Xantrex!!

I always say to TELL THEM if something is broken instead of just complaining. People so often complain and bad mouth others without going to the source and giving them a chance to fix the problem. So I'm a believer in going to the source before I make my comments - then my comments reflect what the company does instead of my half baked opinions.

Speaking of which - my review of the customer service that goes with my new brake system is coming angry.gif
